UMBERTO BACCICHETTOFrom the best grapes... to bottled wine
Experience and tradition are two key elements in our company. The use of avant-garde techniques always blends with tradition: from the soft pressing of the grapes to the controlled fermentation through the thermal regulation of each individual vat. This means absolute control over fermentation, resting in steel tanks, ageing in wood and finally in the bottle. Our objective has always been to express the values of our territory, enhancing the distinctive features of our grapes and their organoleptic qualities year after year.Umberto Baccichetto vineyards
All our vineyards are personally monitored and cared for by us, scrupulously complying with EEC and regional regulations for the reduction of pesticide treatments. The quality of the wine and its goodness are closely linked to the cultivated soil and the climate to which the grapes planted in the vineyards are subjected: a mild climate and clayey soil, full of mineral salts.
We want our wines to be an expression of our territory.
The production area of the Friuli Latisana DOC wines is made up of the strip of land that faces the Adriatic Sea and continues north towards the town of Latisana.
A flat area with soil and climate characteristics that are particularly suited to vine cultivation.
The proximity of the sea provides breezy summers and mild winters, with temperatures rarely dropping below zero.
Experience and tradition...
Experience and tradition are two fundamental elements in our company. The use of avant-garde techniques always merges with tradition: from the soft pressing of the grapes to the controlled fermentation. The whole process stems from the quality of our precious raw material: the grape. All processes of fermentation, maturation, refinement, filtration and bottling of the wines take place in our cellar, the production heart of our company, in a combination of tradition and innovation.WE ARE CERTIFICATEDSQNPI
The SQNPI (National Quality System for Integrated Production) certification on our products guarantees the management of agronomic techniques, phytosanitary defence and pest control in all phases of production and processing of our raw materials.
This enables our wines to achieve a quality that significantly exceeds the standards in terms of public health, plant health, animal welfare and environmental protection.
Indeed, we prefer production methods and defence against the adversities of agricultural production aimed at minimising the use of chemical substances and rationalising fertilisation, always respecting ecological, economic and toxicological principles.
The distinguishing mark certifies that our company complies with the National Guidelines, specific to wine cultures and containing the phytosanitary indications and agronomic practices to be followed.
